Love is a beautiful thing. Love can be a rare thing. That is why I'm so thankful for the great man in my life. My boyfriend and I have been together for six years (that's longer than most marriages these days) and I could not imagine my life without him. Sure, we've had plenty of ups and downs, but we've always made it through better, stronger, and --most importantly-- together.
We escaped to Monterey last week to celebrate our strong bond. For two days it was just us, the ocean, and a bedside fireplace. We explored Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, drank pomegranate wine and fresh beer, and ate: chocolate covered strawberries, sushi, pulled pork, grilled cheese, and giant burgers. We're really big foodies if you couldn't tell.
Our time spent together away from work and school was well deserved and cherished. I couldn't have asked for a better mini vacation or a person to spend it with, and I know he feels the same way. I love you, dear!
